Step by step.
- Open the EPF website. Go to epfindia.gov.in → "Services" → "For Employees" → "Member UAN/Online Services". Your UAN is a number your employer gives you.
- Activate your UAN (first time). If you have never logged in, activate your UAN — you need the UAN and your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Log in. Sign in with your UAN and password.
- Check your balance. Open "View Passbook" (passbook.epfindia.gov.in) to see your PF passbook.
- Withdraw or transfer. Under "Online Services", file a Claim (Form 31 for advance, 19/10C for final) or a Transfer when you change jobs.Your KYC — Aadhaar, PAN and bank — must be verified, or claims get rejected.
- Confirm and track. Approve with the OTP on your Aadhaar-linked phone and follow the claim status.
