How to apply for Aadhaar Update / Download in Maharashtra online
Step by step.
- Decide what to change. Only your address can be changed online. Name, date of birth, gender, mobile, photo and fingerprints must be done at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra (Aadhaar centre).
- Open the official website. Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and click "Login". Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha.You only get the OTP if a mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar.
- Enter the OTP. Type the OTP sent to your linked mobile to go in (log in).
- Choose "Update Aadhaar". Select Address. (Only address is available online.)
- Type the new address. Enter it exactly as it appears on your proof.A spelling or spacing mistake gets the update rejected.
- Add your address proof (upload). Upload one clear document from the box above (electricity bill, passbook, etc.).
- Pay the small fee. Pay about ₹50 by UPI or card.
- Submit and save your URN. After Submit you get an Update Request Number (URN).Write down the URN — you track the update with it.
- Check status and download. Enter your URN under "Check Aadhaar Update Status". Once approved, download your updated e-Aadhaar.
- If doing it at a centre. To change name/date of birth/mobile/photo, use "Book an Appointment" on the same site, take your original documents to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, give fingerprints, pay the fee, and collect the receipt (URN).
