How to apply for Passport in Maharashtra online

Step by step.

Make an account. Go to passportindia.gov.in, click "Register", and create an account (confirmed by email). Then log in.
Fill the form. Click "Apply for Fresh Passport / Reissue" and fill the form on screen.
Pay and pick a centre. Choose your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK or Post-Office PSK) and pay the fee online.
Book your appointment. After paying, pick a date and time slot.
Go to the centre. On the day, take your original documents (age proof, address proof, ID) plus one set of self-attested photocopies."Self-attested" just means you sign each copy yourself.
Verification and delivery. The police verify your address (usually after your visit); the passport is then posted to your home. Track it on the site or app.
